The Underground is a NYC-based boutique with deep roots in production and post production for brands and advertising agencies. The studio offers editorial, color, and visual effects—as well as live-action production services—to a growing roster of clients across the country.

Managing Director/Executive Producer Hugh Broder is a veteran of all aspects of live action, animation, and post production for TV commercials, infomercials, branded content, web advertising, documentaries, and live shows…across all budget levels. Before joining The Underground, Hugh was head of production at BBDO Detroit and head of integrated production at Walmart, winning awards for creating and producing content for a range of brands from cars to package goods.

Creative Director / Lead Flame Artist Nic Seresin oversees the creative vision for The Underground and also serves as its lead Flame artist, working directly with clients to bring their ideas to life and maintain consistent artistry across all projects. He has spent more than 20 years crafting dynamic visuals in advertising, film, music video and digital projects and has worked at some of the industry’s top shops in both London and New York, earning numerous industry accolades along the way, including Cannes Lions, BTAA, and D&AD awards.

Founder Ben Bettenhausen, along with his partner MJ, created The Underground as a natural extension of their highly successful retouching company, Print 2 Print, which has focused on high-end retouching for national and international fashion and beauty clients for the past 20 years. The Underground is building on that work and reputation to extend P2P’s services into digital and broadcast media.

President of p2p group, James Jorio collaborates with our highly creative team and clients in creating dynamic imagery for campaigns worldwide. James helps bring a creative edge to P2P. He has been working with some of the top talents in the industry for many years. James also maintains a presence in the arts, with exhibitions of his paintings in NY and Europe. His background in the arts, design, and fashion, as well as his keen eye for detail, help him direct the highly creative teams at P2P Group.
